I have wanted to have a blog for awhile now, but didn't know what it would be about. lol. Basically this will be about raising a special needs child when you are living in chronic pain yourself and having 2 boys.
Let's start out with me telling you about my kids & myself. My name is Melissa. I am mom to 3 kids. Ashleigh is 10. Noah is 6. Ethan is 17 months.
Ashleigh has spastic paraparesis. When Ash was 6, she started having leg pains. No doctor wanted to hear it. It took awhile to get her help, but we finally did. She is on 2 medicines for her pain. We have been through a lot with Ash. A lot of doctor appointments & tests.
Noah is a typical 6 year old. Hyper at times. He loves soccer. I started him in soccer when he was 5 years old. I started him in soccer that was twice a week for about 6 weeks. Just learning how to play soccer. I put him into indoor soccer for 20 weeks. This is where he learned to love the game. After that was over, Noah started soccer in the spring for 8 weeks. By now, Noah is getting goals & making new friends.
Ethan is our youngest. He wasn't planned. I was working, but I got hurt & had to have back surgery. He is the result of being off of work. I have been home since my surgery. Ethan is a happy little boy, who adores his big brother.
Let's it for now.
