It has been awhile!!

It definitely has been awhile. Sorry about that. In August, we went on vacation to Chicago to see a dear friend of my. Well, actually my sister. I adopted her & she adopted me. If you are ever in Chicago, you must go to the Shedd Aquarium. We went with my sister. We had a great time!! It is definitely worth the money!! Noah & Ethan, loved the penguins & Ashleigh loved the dolphins. I didn't want to leave Chicago. When we got home, I was busy with getting ready for the first day of school by getting the last of the school clothes (shorts for the kids) & school supplies.

Ash & Noah had a great 1st day of school. (I will add a pic later) Their first week is always 3 day. Then came Labor day & I landed myself into the ER because I was overdoing everything. The pain in my left leg was too much. I wanted to cut it off (I wasn't going to). I was told for the 4th time to slow down. How with 3 kids?

In September, Ash saw her neurologist & her rheumologist. Her neurologist ordered a MRI of her total spine & brain. We do this every other year. Even if this wasn't the year to have it done, it would be done. Ash has been complaining of her back hurting along with her arms. Her neurologist called & told me that Ash has a bulging disc at L4-L5 & we need to watch it. If Ash complains of pain, I have to call to make another appointment. Well, Ash has been complaining of pain so tomorrow I will be calling her nurse to see what we need to do. Her nurse can get Ash in earlier than the person who schedules her appointments. Her neurologist said that Ash may need to see a neurosurgeon. Now about her arms. If Ash is complaining about arm pain, then I need to call an ortho dr to get an appointment with them. This all makes me nervous. I have to get her into OT at our Children's so they can set up an at home OT program for me to do with Ash. With what we do with Ash, I can't add anymore on her. Ash has 3 therapists a week coming into our home for her behavior. I also have her in a program at a local college for nutrition & exercise. I have Ash seeing a psychologist once a week, too. When Ash saw her neurologist, she was very moody. Her moods were up & down. I think she has seen her 3 times. We were told it would be helpful for Ash to see someone to help with her pain. Someone to help her deal with her disease she has.

Noah had his open house where we met his teacher, saw his classroom, & signed up for his parent teacher conference. Noah is doing really well. He talked me into helping with the Halloween party. I am happy another mother is helping me. I am doing the craft for the kids. I am almost done. We are doing a pumpkin. I am also making cupcakes for his class & his soccer team. Too much to do this week!

Noah learned to play basketball in September & it ended last Tuesday. 1 minute he says he likes it, but the next minute he hates it. I don't know what he wants with basketball. Noah loves playing soccer!!

Until next time!
Mel
