Ashleigh started horseback riding when she was in Kindergarten. She was about 5 or 6. She loved it. For a couple years, I could I could not get her to her horseback riding because we only had one car. Now that we have 2 cars I got her back into horseback riding. Horseback riding is good to build her stomach muscles, but also for her confidence. Ashleigh loves Horseback riding.
The place where Ashleigh goes for her Horseback riding had a Horse Show & every child was in it. It was wonderful for the kids. Having the audience clap for the kids was wonderful!
Here is Ashleigh waiting for her turn on her horse:
Ashleigh riding on her horse. Ash was judged on 3 things: Pleasure Riding, Equestrian Riding, & Trail Riding. When Ashleigh gets on her horse, she becomes someone else- a confident child.

Ashleigh got 1st for Pleasure Riding, 2nd place for Equestrian Riding, & 2nd Place for Trail Riding. Ash with her ribbons, which is displayed in her room on a corkboard. The ribbons are in the corkboard & I don't think I can get them out. I pushed them into the corkboard pretty good.

The gang cheering on Ashleigh in the shade!
Ashleigh had a month off from horseback riding & she starts back up next week. I think this will help Ashleigh become stronger than she already she. Tonight Noah told Ash that she is strong. I am so proud of both of my children. It was hard for Noah to tell his sister that. Ashleigh needed to hear that so badly. In the last month, things has happened, but I can not tell you all. I may not ever tell you. It is not my story to tell. It is Ashleigh's.
If your child is disabled & can get him or her into horseback riding, there maybe some places that offers it for free. Ask your physical therapist or occupational therapist if they know of any place.

I grew up in a horse barn and took care of about 30 horses. My horse was my best friend. I miss it very much!
