On August 22nd, Noah had his first night of try outs. Noah was nervous and so was I! But, he went out there and did his best. We found out that there was going to be another night of try outs, August 23rd. We were told that we did not have to be there. Noah did not want to go, but I told Noah since he was new, I felt he did need to go. He needed to get the coach to know who he was and that he really wanted to be on the team. Noah did go and he did great. Noah has not been playing soccer on any organization for a year and a half due to having no second car. Since the school is close by and there is a bus transit here in our town, Noah and I take the bus to get him to practices. My friend has Ethan since our sons go to the same school and Ethan can ride home with her son. It helps me out a lot since Noah and I have to get a bus 18 minutes from when Ethan gets off of his bus. No time to drop off anything at home, or to feed Ethan. For games, Noah gets bused to the game and home, but for home games, it is only to the field and us parents can take them home and it is not far from home. For away games, I pick him up at his school. Shawn and I are looking for a second vehicle, but having some trouble finding what we want, A Ford Explorer and the time to go look since Shawn's work schedule is crazy.
Noah made his 7th/8th soccer team. This is the first time he has been on a team like this. He has played since he was 5 in different organizations, but never on a school team. We are so proud of Noah!!
Last week Noah had 2 practices (Thursday and Friday). This week practices were Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. The first day of school was Thursday where Noah and the other 7th graders learn a new school. A bigger school than the middle school.
For the next 6 weeks, life will be crazy, but it is great to see Noah growing up and working hard for what he wants.
