10 years

I can not believe it has been 10 years.  10 years from waking up in the hospital being in the worse pain I have ever felt in my life.  That is saying something when I had 3 child births.  Ethan's was the far worse of the 3.  Ashleigh's second then Noah's.  With Ethan, I had screws in my spine.

When life gets bad or painful, I say to myself "I have been through worse" which to me is referring to December 10, 2007.  The day of my back surgery.  Where I received 4 screws (2 on each side).  When I woke up from the surgery, the pain down my right leg was unbearable.  I will never forget that pain.  I had to do PT on my foot.  There was a time where I was not able to drive.  The PT saved me.

A few years later I was injured and the right lower screw was bent.  Each time I injured my back we check on that screw to make sure it is still stable.

Now I am dealing with arthritis in the surgery site along with some scaring.  Each morning I wake up stiff and it is due to the arthritis. I have to do exercises and PT. I need to find a light yoga class, too. PT will start sometime after the first of the year. Probably February or early March.

Have a good day! Melissa
