I did not bind my planner myself. Instead, I decided to go towards a Happy Planner. I went to our Michael's to get the Create 365 The Happy Planner Paper Punch & The Happy Planner Rainbow Expander Discs. I wanted something that would be able to use next year, too. I really wanted blue metallic discs, but I would have to order online & I did not want to wait for that so I went with those rainbow ones for now. I brought 2 packages just in case.
I was able to find a printable to purchase for my bills: HERE. When I downloaded the file, there were 4 different ones. I picked the last one & choose to print it as black & white since I was out of color ink. I am waiting on a shipment of color ink from HP Instant Ink. I am used to having my bills within my planner, but I wanted something separate & this allows for that. I also made a chart for those recurring bills. You know Netflix, W+, Peacock, etc. So, I do not forget to add them into my bill pay each payday.
I brought the planner file off of Etsy. I printed everything that I needed & it took several months. Then, I hole-punch it with the paper punch I mentioned above. I did make a few mistakes by hole punching on the wrong side of the paper so I had to reprint those few pages. I made the front & back covers with pages I found on Pinterest. I will find those if you want to know where I got them from. Then, I set it up with the discs. I put the Avery Ultra Tabs with each of the monthly (1 page) calendars so I could find where each month started. These tabs work perfectly.
Next, I wrote in every date within the weekly & daily pages. This took a while & I took my time. I set up every appointment, event on the 1-page monthly calendar. I added stickers for payday ($) & my husband's days off. Then, I wrote in appointments in the daily pages that I have. I wrote things we need to do in the to-do list in the daily pages, too, just for January.
I love my new planner for 2022!! Photos in the next post!
