Great news!!

This great news is about Bolt.  Well, I told you all about his testicles not dropping.  They haven't yet.  I found a place that will neuter him & it will not cost a lot.  YEA!!  Finally after months of calling places I found a place.  His surgery (shhh!  Noah does not like this word!  I will only use it once) is scheduled for October 2nd.  We have to have him there between 8:30-10a.   No food after 6p the night before & no water after midnight.  We are being charged a spay! Can you believe this?

Are you ready for the costs that our vet was going to charge us? $1250
The one place I found before $464-$564
This place Bolt is going $135
Can you believe the difference? $1250-$135=$1115 or
$464-$135=$329/$564-$135=$429

I called around my area that has programs for spay & neuter.  I called several programs, but I am only giving you 1 example because that is the only one I remember.  That is the one we were going to go with because the anesthesia was included in the $64 spay/neuter program that you pay to the Animal Rescue League that does this program then you pay the rest to the Vet in the area.  So, it would be an additional $400-500 on top of the $64 due to Bolt's issues.  I found out that many places were like this, but this place was going to charge me for a spay.  I told them I had to get him neutered, that I was worried about cancer in the future, & that I always neutered my dogs.  I was ready to tell her that Bolt has a habit of running off & I was worried that he would get a female pregnant.  I did not want that.  That would increase his cancer later in life, too.  Neutering him now would solve this all.  I did not have to tell her this.  I still can not believe the difference between my vet & where Bolt is going!  It puts a smile on my face!!  =)

My advice to you all:
1. Your local Humane Society does Clinics for Rabies & Microchipping, which is so much cheaper than your vet.  Nothing against my vet or anyone else.  I love my vet, but we are on a limited income.  When Bolt & Zeus are due for their rabies again, I am taking them to the Clinic at our Humane Society for this reason, but more importantly it helps out your local Humane Society!
2. Check out your local Spay & Neuter Programs if you are on a Limited Income.  It is worth the time & energy.  Believe me!!
3. Training- Check out the ones in your area.  Do a search online & research it.  Ask in a group on Facebook, which is how I found the training place I am taking Bolt to after I get him neutered!  I will let you know how it goes.  This places does a refresh course within 6 months!  Love that idea!!
4. Love your dogs!  =)

I will have an update on the kids soon.  I need to download photos soon.
