I spoke about Easter just a little during my Organization post, but not that much.
This is what I posted on the Organization Post:
"Easter. I am almost done. Just one more thing I need. It is also my godson's birthday this year. Next year Easter is April 20 & Noah's birthday is April 23. My friend, Sandy, & I take turns to see if her son, Charlie, or my son, Noah's, birthday will be closer to Easter. This year it is her son. Next year it is my son. Last year it was her son. 2 years ago it was my son. His birthday was the day before Easter 2 years ago. Click out this chart: HERE or check out this one: HERE. I also need to get Charlie a birthday gift before his party. I need to get our Easter dinner supplies soon. Noah & I are doing our ham different this year. Yum!! If you want, I will post the recipe & photo."
Noah wants me to use this recipe I have in my Cooking Club of America magazine for our Easter Ham. I have been a member forever. It has raspberries & blackberries in it. For Easter, we will be staying home with just us. We will eat dinner together at our dining room table.
Ashleigh & Noah has Holy Thursday & Good Friday off from school plus the following Monday. Holy Thursday & Monday are both Snow Make up Days, but so far we have not had any. I hope this stays like this with their Snow Make up Days. We are to get some snow tonight into tomorrow & then more into Thursday. I am not sure how much. It depends on how the storm goes.
We will do a few crafts I have planned. I have ceramic eggs for the kids to paint. I have window things for them to paint, too. I may print out a small Easter booklet, too, for them to color. We will also watch Hop, too. It is our favorite movie for Easter. We saw it 2 years ago in the theater on Noah's birthday.
I did finish everything yesterday for Easter shopping. The older 2 kids sold Easter candy, which I brought some for the kids. I can not wait for the kids to find their baskets that the Easter Bunny will hide. This is our second Easter here. I wonder where the Easter Bunny will hide their baskets. I still need to get out our Easter items & decorate the mantle. I am not sure what we will do yet.
I am off. I need to go check on Ethan. I can hear him. He is feeling much better than this morning. He woke up crying that "I need a doctor because my ear hurts." Shawn took him to the doctor's because I had to take Noah to an appointment an hour before his doctor appointment. Ethan has an ear infection, but it turns out that it is in his other ear that he was complaining about. That infected ear has no tubes in it & the other ear has the tube ready to fall out. He has his 4 year check up soon so I will be asking some questions about his tubes & ear infections. He got the tubes in at 10 months old.
Have a good night!
Melissa
