30 Days of Thanks 2013

This is being posted on Facebook.  I did this last year and you can read that HERE.

You can see who started 30 Days of Thanks by clicking: HERE.

Day 1 (Nov 1st):
I am thankful for my husband and kids.  They keep me going when I do not want to move.

Day 2 (Nov 2nd):
I am thankful that I have my children with me every day.  Not everyone can say that.  Too many children are dying before their time.

Day 3 (Nov 3th):
I am thankful for my husband, Shawn, who has been beside me through a lot.  I love him more today than the day I married him.

Day 4 (Nov 4th):
I am thankful for my parents.  Love you both!

Day 5 (Nov 5th):
I am thankful for my brother, Matthew.  I know he is always there for us.

Day 6 (Nov 6th):
I am thankful that Ashleigh's disease, HSP, is not worse than it is.  Ashleigh has bad days, but she has more good days.  Ashleigh is so strong for what she has had to go through in her 13 years.

Day 7 (Nov 7th):
I am thankful for Noah.  He is only 9 years old, but he is learning about Ashleigh's disease and has had some difficult accepting it.  This year has been really hard on him, but he is doing a lot better now.

Day 8 (Nov 8th):
I am thankful for my in laws.  I miss having holidays with them.

Day 9 (Nov 9th):
I am thankful for Ashleigh's good days.  Very proud of our daughter for all she has accomplished.

Day 10 (Nov 10th):
I am thankful our huskies, Zeus & Bolt.  I never knew what they meant by the signing "You can never have just one Husky!", but now I do!!  I love our huskies & can not imagine our live without them.  I will do whatever I can for both Zeus & Bolt!  They are a member of our family for now & always!

Day 11 (Nov 11th):
I am thankful that we live in a land where we have freedoms to choose what we can do & we are safe.  Happy Veteran's Day!  Thank you to all the Military, retired, active, & The Working Military Dogs & their Handlers.

Day 12 (Nov 12th):
I am thankful for our home.  It will be 2 years on December 26 that we have been here.  I love having a house and not feeling all closed in.  We have too much space I think at times, but very thankful for our home.

Day 13 (Nov 13th):
I am thankful for Command Strips.  They keep my cork boards and dry erase calendar on our bedroom wall, which does not like sticky things.

Day 14 (Nov 14th):
I am thankful for being more organized than I was last year.  I have our command center in our bedroom.   I have a cork board for each of the kids for school plus one of my own.  I also have 2 dry erase monthly boards for this month and next month.

Day 15 (Nov 15th):
I am thankful for late night reading.  I normally think "One more chapter" and I get to bed late.

Day 16 (Nov 16th):
I am thankful for the quiet time....even if it does not last long!

Day 17 (Nov 17th):
I am thankful for our trip to the beach this summer.  It was great to see the kids' excitement when they saw the ocean.

Day 18 (Nov 18th)
I am thankful for my good days!  With having Celiac Disease, I am having some bad days here or there and it is not fun.  Hoping I have more good days then bad by next year at this time.

Day 19 (Nov 19th):
I am thankful for Noah doing a lot better than he was 9 months ago.  He is a much happier boy!

Day 20 (Nov 20th):
I am thankful for having Ethan.  Many of you may not know this, but Ethan was not planned.  I was recovering from back surgery.  I think if it was not for my back surgery, we may not have Ethan.

Day 21 (Nov 21th):
I am thankful for our 3 kids having their own room!  I am hoping by next November I will have their rooms done like I plan to.  Chalkboards and their names up on the walls!

Day 22 (Nov 22th):
I am thankful for my laptop.  I have not been on the desktop too much since we moved it up in Noah's room.  Once that I remember.  It hurts to sit at the desktop, but with my laptop, I am not in pain in bed.  I do use it at my desk.

Day 23 (Nov 23th)
I am thankful for the sentencing expected for the B.C. Sled Dog Killer. 100 sled dogs were killed in April 2010.   I am not sure if 56 is the correct number.  Check out their Facebook Page.

Day 24 (Nov 24th):
I am thankful for Shawn being a fireman.  He finished all of the classes he had to do to be able to go into a burning building.  He is also an EMT.  He belongs to one of our fireman departments.  We are very proud of him!! Thank a fireman in your community for all they do!

Day 26 (Nov 26th):
I am thankful for Zeus.  Happy 8th Birthday to my favorite husky that follows me around everywhere I go!  I still remember the day I picked him up.

Day 27 (Nov 27th):
I am thankful for making time for my one main project I can not wait to get started on.  Only a few people know what this project is.  I have done prep work, but that is it.

Day 28 (Nov 28th):
I am thankful for our Thanksgiving Dinner with my husband and kids.  Our first year for me being gluten free and it went well.

Day 29 (Nov 29th):
I am thankful for movie nights.  I had one tonight with Ethan and we watched Despicable Me, which we love a lot.

Day 30 (Nov 30th):
I am thankful for Christmas parades.  We had a lot of fun visiting with friends while at the parade.

What are you thankful for?
Have a wonderful happy Thanksgiving with your love ones!
Melissa
