I can not believe another community is going through a stabbing. I pray that all of the victims are healing-both physically and mentally. 

I don't do get the why.  Why do this? Why have so much anger to do something like this?  Schools today are so different than when we went to school. When someone was mad as hell at someone, they got into a fight. Well, they did at my high school. There are other ways to handle this. There has to be.  Our children should not be afraid to go to school.  It is to be a safe place for learning.

I was watching the news today like many people did. They were reporting that they teach the kids to run in times like this. This worries me so much about Ashleigh because her running isn't that great. I wonder the what ifs. I know her school is safe. It has armed security officers there. I know that they have the students go through the metal detectors. I think every school should have metal detectors. I wish this school did. I wonder the what ifs.  

I think this has me shaken because it is in the same state as we are.  The local news reported this is our second that we had in a school, but I can not remember where that first one took place. Neither can my husband. 

We haven't told Ashleigh or Noah about this school. Noah worries too much about things like this happening in his school.  We did tell them about the Sandy Hook shootings because of the changes in their school with the armed security. They already had the metal detectors in place. How do you tell your kids something like happened again when you don't get it either?
