We started a project during the lockdown. I have always wanted an entertaining porch where you can sit down & talk over tea. Well, we are working on that now. We tore out the old carpet. We will sand the edges where the new outdoor sofa & new outdoor carpet will go. We will sand in front of the door & paint it a wood stain. We brought this outdoor sofa & the price increased by $30 since we brought it!!! It is a 3 seat wicker Patio sofa from Walmart. I wanted something where I could read a book or watch a movie. Yes, we will be getting an outside movie screen & projector, which I can not wait for. I have already invited a friend & her son to join us for the first movie screening.
We are adding a patio in between the 2 flower areas. Plants will be added in front of the porch since there is nothing there, but rocks!! We are thinking lavender and a rhododendron or two! We are adding this patio with concrete patio molds. I brought 3 of them from this lady an hour from us for $25. Saved a ton of money there. The patio stones will go passed this area between the 2 flower areas to the right and wrap the one side of the porch. We are hoping to go past the porch to give us enough room to place the table and benches, which we will sand & restain the same color as the front porch. We also would love this area to be a little bigger to place a fire pit. The patio stones will also go where my husband's new grill will go. His eyes are bigger than we have to spend on it and the available space! Men & grills!!
I can not wait to have this all done. Target time is end of June.
