Covid-19: Part 6

Well, our school district is going to voluntarily close every Friday. We started this the week of February 5.  I love this idea.  Each week our numbers go back to zero. If this helps keeps our kids in school, then I’m for this.

So, the first week (February 5) there was a snow day on the Monday of that week so they switched Monday for Friday so the kids didn’t stay home on Friday and the cohort that had class went in person.

Tomorrow our temperatures are to be cold and add in some snow so the chances we have another snow day is high.  A virtual snow day!! I’m thinking that tomorrow will switch with Friday.

The morning of February 5 I got a call from the school nurse where my son and daughter go to. Ashleigh was in close contact with someone who tested positive. This date of exposure was Tuesday of that week. She is done with her quarantine time this Saturday, February 13 as long as she doesn’t have any symptoms. So far Ash doesn’t have any.

Ashleigh didn’t handle this very well. She didn’t want to stay in her room.  We had her do that until yesterday.  Now when Ash leaves her room, she sends a text on our family text saying she is coming out of her room so if we are somewhere we have time to put a mask on.

If you are wondering does everyone have to quarantine in our house. The answer is no. Only if Ash has any symptoms. We also have to report her symptoms daily to the PA department of health. I can do that in a text. Every day between 12-5p. Just until Ash is 4 days passed her quarantine release date.
