Ashleigh's room has always been a problem. Papers & trash are everywhere. No organization at all. I try to come up with ways to get her to clean it, but nothing works for long. I do not know what to do.
The top drawing is what her room is like now. The bottom is the plan of what we want to do.
So, the plan is to get rid of the bookcase, vanity, and art table. The bookcase is holding her tv right now. I want a tv stand in its place. I think this one (photo below) would work perfectly. The area where a DVD player could be is where she can store her laptop when she is not using it.
The art table will be moved to the art studio. With that area empty, I was thinking of an L-shaped desk with storage. I am having an issue finding a desk we both like. One with storage. I did find one desk from a store that sells items that are used. But, it is not as big as I would like. I want the l-shaped desk to have shelves or drawers & it to be sturdy. Nothing is like that. If I can find something for storage then that desk I found at the store would work.
Do you have a child with Autism? Is their room a problem? How do you keep it clean?
