Those around you!

"In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit." ~Albert Schweitzer

In the last 2 days, after reading the above Quote by Albert Schweitzer, a lot of thoughts have been going through my mind. Hope, Strength, Love, Faith. My favorite is Live, Love, Laugh. It is actually above our front door. It reminds me to live my life as I want & not let the pain control it. Hope is something we all need. A good friend, Krissy, reminded me that today. When I lose hope, she is always there for me. Krissy has been through the roughest time with me. She is there to talk to me what I can't say to my husband because I don't want to worry him. We both have chronic pain. We both get through our bad times together. Krissy is more than a good friend. She is my sister. I am so thankful for her. Krissy, Thank you for always being there for me. Reminding me that I am strong. That I can do this. I am a good mom. I don't know what I would do without you.

So, Those around you. Look around you. What do you see? Have you helped a friend who needed help? Did a friend have surgery & could use some help from you? Did a friend just have a baby? Go to that friend & help him/her out. It will make you feel so good inside. It might even rekindle that inner spirit. If a friend asks for help, please don't say you will help & then don't show up. Boy, do I hate that! If a friend asks me for help, you are damn sure I would help out. I would not be a no show. When a friend is expecting help, please show up & help. If you don't want to help, then SAY NO!! Everyone around us needs help at some point in there lives. It might not be now, but it could be in a week, a month, or a year. What happens if you are a no show then you are the one that needs help from that friend? Do you think that friend will help you? Think about that! Remember everyone around us needs help. Some day that will be the one who don't want to help out a friend.

Those around you! First impression are not always as they seen. Sometimes people don't have the entire story. They see what they want to see. I am talking about a certain person, who's first impression of me was horrible. Horrible is not even the word I want to use. I cleaned out my emails today & I found a copy of the crap she said. She was mad because my husband was carrying, lifting, etc our infant (he was at the time) son. This is what my husband does. He helps me decrease the pain in anyway he can. If it means, he can lift, carry, make a bed, etc, then he does. This allows me to do other things. There was a lot more that she said, but I am not going to get into it. Hello, back injury, back surgery. I have a 5 lbs limit to carry & lift. He was helping me make it through the day with less pain. I hid it from her, from my family. Not everyone around you will help you, will give you that hope you need. You need to find those that will give you that hope & when you do, keep them close by.

I look around I see my husband, who has worked so hard for us. A great father to our 3 kids. I see our 3 kids. Ash is a fighter. Never lets her pain get in her way. She will rest some before she finishes what she wants to do. Noah is going to be a great soccer player. I also think he will protect his sister. He won't tease anyone like her. E adores his sister & brother. He will also protect his sister. I also think he will play soccer. He is now & he is only 1. My family is always put first above everything.

So, who is around you?
Mel
