Wednesday night this happened a few weeks ago:
1 kid has paint has him, but says he fell asleep on the couch & then got up & fell in it. 2nd kid has been sleeping, then dinner & therapist was with her on stop. 3rd kid sleeping on couch. Who did it? Any guesses?
Ashleigh has been doing pretty good this last week. We told her if she did not act better she would:
1. Not go on our OH trip with me & the kids. Shawn has to work.
2. Will not do anything fun. Like sleep overs in my room, have her tv back, her ds back, etc.
Ethan has been copying bad behavior from Ashleigh. We are trying to get this behavior to stop, but not sure how. We never had this type of behavior with our other 2. We are trying to teach Ethan this type of behavior is not allowed. When Ashleigh does something that not allowed, we take Ethan aside & talk with him about what Ashleigh has done.
Noah is trying to get attention now, too. I am working on painting a cabinet that will be used for our coats & the kids' backpacks. Shawn is helping me paint it, too. It is 7 ft tall. I am only 5 ft 2 in tall! Even with a step ladder I can not reach the top of it. Noah wanted to help me paint it. I told him no. I told him maybe the trim. Well, there was a mess in the basement. He painted a trim in the basement. I cleaned that up, along with my table & the paintbrush & the location where the paintbrush was at (on my craft cabinet)! The floor has paint on it, but I could not clean that up. Noah had paint all over him. I wish I took a picture of him. He told him he fell in it, but I knew he was lying! I knew it was him. Ashleigh was with her therapist. No paint on her. Ethan was sleeping. No paint on her.
So, he lied to me over & over again. The next day Noah finally told us the truth. He lost the xbox for the rest of the week. I knew it was Noah. He told me a week before this that he wanted to help me paint the trim white. Now I am short for my painting since Noah wasted my paint.
Our Ohio trip went well. Photos to come soon. Ashleigh has been behaving very well. She is going to my brother's tomorrow. We are meeting him & his partner half way. I have her packed & ready to go. This is the first time Ash has been away from me since I had my back surgery since 2007. Ash will be there for 5 days. This is going to show her that other homes have rules, too, & to help Noah to be a normal brother for a little bit. This summer has been hard on both of them.
Hugs to you all! Things here are getting better. We filled out the paperwork for the Family Based Program. We will start it a week before school starts. It is sad that we have to say goodbye to the Ashleigh's therapists, but we know it is for the best. Have you ever had to say goodbye like this? Let me know.
