Book Review: Unexpectedly Expecting!!

I chose Unexpectedly Expecting! by Susan Mallery, who is my favorite author!!  This is the second book in the Lone Star Canyon Series.  As I said on the book review for The Rancher Next Door, I fell in love with the town, the characters, and the story line as I did for Fool's Gold.  I love the dress that Nora is wearing on the book cover.  But, I can not see the doctor, Stephen, being that relaxed.  Maybe it is the necklace.  When you read this series, you can see the Family Tree for both the Darbys and the Fitzgeralds.  I love being able to see who is related to who and how.

THE TOWNSFOLK WERE STIRRING UP TWENTY KINDS OF TROUBLE!
Sassy hairdresser Nora Darby had a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas. Abandoned by her dad and betrayed by her fiancé, she was anti-man, anti-marriage and mouthy about it to boot. All of which suited Stephen Remington, M.D., to a tee. Though the townsfolk considered him the ideal candidate to scale Nora's defenses and soften her heart, the sexy widower had vowed never to love and lose again.
But their public battle of the sexes led to a night of shocking, private passion…and an unexpected pregnancy…leaving no-strings Nora and love-shy Stephen staring straight down the shotgun of motherhood andshudder!matrimony….
Dr Stephen Remington does not know about Nora when he is checking her out.  He is intrigued by her.  His nurse tells him a few things about her, but does not go into details.  I love how Nora and Stephen are trapped in a cellar with other town folks because of a tornado.  I can remember when I was in high school, my mom would have us in the cellar during tornado warnings.  In the past 6 years, I think, I have left my home once due to a tornado.  My neighbor and friend came to get me and my kids.  At that time, I only had Ash and Noah.  My friend brought her turtle in a bowl.
I love how Nora tells Stephen about the history between the Darbys and the Fitzgeralds.  To me, it has nothing to do with Katie or Nora so why do they have to stay away from the Fitzgeralds?
I love how Stephen wanted to date Nora and would not give up on her.  Did he finally break her down?  My favorite thing that Stephen did was take care of her when she was so sick.  I know he is a doctor, but I think he went beyond what he was to do.   When my husband, Shawn, & I were dating, I got bronchitis very badly.  Shawn took care of me and I knew then he was the one.  He made me drink warm apple juice!  Yuck!  I have not drank apple juice since then.
I highly recommend this book.  Once again, I could not put it down.  I also recommend grabbing a warm blanket, a cup of hot tea or a glass of wine when you are reading this book!
Keep on Reading

P.S. Discussion Questions for you
1. Why does Nora act the way she does about men?
2. Why did Stephen want to be a country doctor?
3.  Where was Stephen a doctor prior to him moving?
4. What happened to Stephen?  How would you handle if you were him?
