Ashleigh's AFO appointment was this morning. Ash finally got her casts off at the same time of getting her new AFOs. Whoo hoo!! Ashleigh started her serial casting on October 23. It has been a long 9 weeks. I can not believe it has been this long. I am so happy that Ashleigh can take showers and do things for herself without having so much help. We have to be careful with her skin where the casts where. They were in this protective cast and now the skin needs to breathe. She is taking a shower right now and I hope we have no issues. We need to use lotion on her legs and feet. Her left foot was swollen and I am worried about the why.
On Friday, Ashleigh has an appointment at the DME Clinic. It is where Ash will get her new wheelchair that she picked out. We both can not remember the color she picked so it will be a surprise for both of us. Shawn is taking her since I will be at the boys' classroom party for Christmas. Photos will be up soon!
