Celiac or more...

Have you ever been afraid to eat food?

I have been there for awhile.  For 6-8 weeks, I have been getting pretty sick and it needs to stop.  I know I have not had anything with gluten in it.  I read labels and double check those labels.

Background information for those who just found us or needs refreshed!  I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in June 2013.  I have been Gluten Free ever since.  I follow that faithfully.

About a year or so ago, I was getting sick after drinking milk so I stopped having any milk to drink.  In the last several months, I had to stop adding milk to dishes I made.  In the last 6-8 weeks, I can not tolerate cheese, cauliflower, mushrooms, and corn.

I did an internet search for celiac disease still sick.  I came across this website.  I am now following a low FODMAPs diet.  When I have a salad, I make sure it only has a little cheese and mushrooms.  This has been working for me.  I have not gotten sick in about 2 weeks.  I started this diet about 4 weeks ago.  I am pleased with how I am feeling.

I found another site that I printed out a low and high FODMAPs list of foods.  This is the one I have printed.  Click HERE.  I have printed 2 of them.  One comes with me to the grocery store and one is here at home to remind me what foods I can eat.

I see my doctor on Thursday and I plan to go over everything that I have been through.  I am finally eating again like I should be.  I need to know if this has to do with Celiac or something more.  I do plan to go back to a dietitian to see what else can be done.
