Project We Are Working On......Porch & Outdoor Movie Area

This weekend we are working on the porch by sanding it & painting it.  The yard needs the weeds pulled.  The concrete molds will wait until the last weekend in June or next weekend to get done.  Lots to get done before the end of this month.  

Here is a drawing I did of the front yard:

We are using the concrete mold that I recently brought from the Facebook marketplace.  I got 3 of them for $25.  Our plan is to do the mold where the patio words are in the drawing to where the fire pit would end.  We are thinking at first doing the patio to the end of the porch.  The rocks end in that area.  Then add to the patio stones to the rest of the area.  We have a shed on the other side of this drawing and a small garden.  Another garden is being added to the right of the ? across from the trees we planted.  Right now the table & benches are in the area.

Today I went to Michael's to buy the outdoor carpet & 2 stools for the front porch.  I still want to get a coffee table for in front of the new outdoor sofa, but that will be in the future.  The 2 stools are a blue color, but I may paint them later on.  I wanted white, but they only had the 2 I brought & a red on.  

Noah will help me decide where on the hillside the screen can go.  We are not sure how to do the screen yet.  

I want to work on the design area soon that is in front of the door on the porch.  Not quite sure how to do this yet, but it will have a G & our house #.  I plan to spray paint the mailbox.  Add a sign or two around the mailbox with the stars we have, but the stars need to be spray painted a different color.  I am going for blue, green, white, & gray as the colors of the front porch.  Next year we plan to replace the wood & do some work on the 3 poles, but it is not in our budget right now.

A friend asked about sound.  I have not figured that out yet.  We want to have our own movie night before we have our first friend's movie night.  That way we can work out any kinks we may run into.  Like where the perfect place for the screen.  The sound?  We have to run an extension cord out the one window to have power.  We are not sure where to place the projector & speakers.

We also want lights on the porch.  Ones that change colors.  Like these from Sam's Club.  This probably will be a future item to get.

I can not wait until this porch and the front yard is done.  Any projects you working on?
