An update from the last post.
We started this past weekend and removed all of the weeds, which comes down the one hill from our neighbors.
Here is the front of the house. Next year the wood will be replaced and the pillars are redone. We were only going to paint the wood but decided to wait until next year so we can do it the way we want. I need to get some plants for the front, but not sure what yet. The movie screen will be placed in front of the front porch on the hillside. We are building a frame for the screen so we can remove the screen so the weather does not destroy it. I will post how we do this. We plan to do this all this weekend.
The outdoor sofa is from Walmart. The 2 rugs and 2 stools are from Michaels, which I got on sale. I saved $110 on the rugs and stools.
This is down from the roses and has our pumpkin plants. Ethan and I did the pumpkin seeds in a Ziploc bag with a wet paper towel to get them to germinate faster. I am hoping this year we get pumpkins.
Once we dig out the area between the 2 rows of bricks, we are digging out this area. From the left of the rocks to the right. We need to have a table fit here with the area to be flat.

We removed all of the grass that was growing in this area with the roses. We only had the tall ones, but we planted 3 more. They are yellow, pink, pink, & red. The 3 we planted were on clearance for .91 cents each. It may take a while for them to grow like the tall ones.

The yellow bricks will be placed in a solid line and we are digging out the area between the 2 rows of the yellow bricks so we can do the concrete molds there. We had 3 roses of Sharon on the left here, but we removed 2 of them and placed them in the row we have behind the grill. Photo of this in the last photo. We planted a ground cover where the one Rose of Sharon. We needed something shorter in this area because of the movie screen.

In the last post, I put a sketch of the area. It has changed a little bit because of the table not working in the area on the sketch due to the way the ground is. We have to go into the area where the rocks are. Not sure where we will put the grill yet, but we will once we get this all started.
I am really excited about this new area outside. I have to figure out how to deal with the mosquitoes.
