Have you ever heard of Magic Reindeer Food?
The kids & I started this many years ago. I think it was before Noah & Ethan were both born. So, what you do is you"
Place the following in a ziploc bag or another type of baggie.
1/2 cup of oatmeal and glitter.
Then you recite this poem when sprinkling the Reindeer Food onto the ground on Christmas Eve:
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon (Rudolph’s Nose) will make it sparkle bright
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.
The moon (Rudolph’s Nose) will make it sparkle bright
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.
Here is what I made today for Noah's class for their Christmas party, which is Wednesday. Another mom was to do this, but I have a feeling she may forget since she told another mom that has she has to bring is the oats. She said she would also bring the ziploc bags & this poem printed out.
Isn't it cute?
I also have to make cookies from scratch. There are several kids with peanut allergies. As a mom with 2 kids with asthma, I will do anything the other moms ask me in order to protect their child(ren). I know other mothers with kids with asthma & severe allergies to food like peanuts. My boys are very lucky not to have allergies. Well, Asthma is awful at times, but right now theirs is under control. (Yea!)
Night! I am off to read a little.
