Day 12: 30 Days of Thanks

Day 12 (Nov 12th):

I am not sure what I am thankful for today.  This week has not been a good one.  I am trying to look at the positive things in my life, but sometimes it is hard.  Shawn's car was acting up last week.  He parked it Thursday night after he barely made it home from work.  Shawn works an hour from home now.  It is a better job and the insurance is a 1/3 of what he was paying for.  Shawn went to start it Monday morning so we could take it into the shop to get look at.  Nope, it could not start.  We got it towed in and wanted for the news.  The engine is bad and would need to be replaced.  No signs at all.  It is not worth getting a new engine ($1500-3000).  We are going to wait until after the first of the new year to get a second car.  I looked over all of my appointments for me and the kids and we are fine with only one car.  If I am out with an appointment for one of the kids or myself, I have to be back home by 12:30p.  Shawn leaves for work between 12:30-1p.  It takes him over an hour to get to work, but he has to park in a parking lot that is South of his work.  Joys of working in a big city now!!

So, what am I thankful today for?  With only having working one van, we will save money in car insurance.  I am also thankful for the one van we have that is working!!
