My youngest, Ethan, wants to be Batman. It does not surprise me. He is always pretending he is Batman, Spiderman, or Superman. Sometimes even Ironman. Ethan loves Superheroes! His favorites are Batman & Spiderman. Ethan loves watching them as cartoons or the movies.
I went to our JoAnn's for the fabric. I had the boys with me. Ash was at her camp. I got 2 different kinds of fabric. Of course, a Batman fabric. The other fabric is shiny black. I wanted a reversible cape for Ethan. It came out like a Bat!! Ethan loves it. I still can not get the velcro to stay on the shiny black. I tried sewing it, too. My needles got all sticky. Any ideas?
I tied it on here. Ethan is ok with this now, but this was his first time with it like this.
I almost forgot about the Batman Mask. I have this done, but no pictures yet. Once the kids go trick or treating, I will add this picture. We go to Shawn's work for trick or treating. It is at a nursing home. We have been doing this for many years. 7 years I think. It is great. All inside. No dealing with uneven pavement for Ashleigh. No dealing with rain, or snow!
This site you can make it with buttons, but I found it after I was done with Ethan's cape. Maybe his next one.
If you know my son, Noah, you know what he will be for Halloween. Yes, a penguin. Noah & I are making it together. A nice son-mom time!! Here is the site I found this costume at: Perky Penguin. More pictures to come! I thought I took more pictures, but I did not. I will add it an update to this.
What are you kids going to be? Ashleigh is going to be a bat! I will add that all later, too. I am not making any of her costume.
