Happy Halloween!!!

I wanted to share this for awhile, but with everything I had to do, it was not happening.  Between getting the costumes done, getting the treat bags done, getting the soccer snack & altogether, & I am sure I am forgetting a lot more right now.

Every year we don't do the normal door to door trick or treating.  We go to my husband's work.  Work you say?  Yes!  He works in a nursing home/retirement village complex that is growing & growing & growing.  Did I say growing?  The trick or treating is in the nursing home.  The patients love seeing the kids & the kids love it, too.

I love it for many reasons:
1. No rain, snow, etc.
(Sorry for those who are dealing with this)

2.  Even ground.
No fear of Ashleigh falling because of a pavement being uneven.

3.  Candy is Safe!!!!
I think this is a very important reason.

Onto the pictures....

Noah & I worked on his costume....
Can you guess what he is?

A Penguin!!

We made it with foam paper from this site.
I thought I took pics of us working on it, but I can't find them.

Ashleigh with her brother, Noah.  Ash is a bat.  I got the bat wings from Michael's.

Ashleigh, Noah, & Ethan.  Ethan is Batman.  It was very hard to get him to stay still for pictures.  He kept having his cape out like Batman would do.

Onto the Pumpkin Festival pictures:

We went to this Pumpkin Festival.  It was a fundraiser for Autism.  We had to go.  We went a few years ago & the kids had a ball.

Craft time.

All 3 of them in front of the scary tree!!  I can not remember why Ethan was mad.

Noah picked a pumpkin that was too heavy for me to carry.  This is his way of getting it to the van.  I wanted to help him, but I can not hurt my back again.  It would not be fair for the kids.

What do you think?
