New Update on Ashleigh

Ashleigh saw her neurologist on Tuesday, October 11.  She sees her once a year unless there is a problem.  I told her neurologist that I noticed Ash not picking up her left leg.  It is like she drags her leg/foot.  It started beginning of the summer.  Her neurologist thinks that it could be 1 of 2 things.

1. Her growing taller has her body not able to handle the change.
2.  Her disease is progressing.

Her disease progressing is something we know can happen at anytime.  We were hoping for NEVER, but if we had to progress, later sounds a lot better than now.  Ash is 11.

On Thursday, October 13, Ash saw her pain management doctor.  Well, 1 in the office.  He agrees with the neurologist saying it is the disease progressing.  He is emailing her neurologist to get another spinal MRI, & to do a Care Conference.  A Care Conference is where all her doctors will see her & evaluate her.  They will all have an opinion.

On Saturday, October 29, I saw Ashleigh's left leg shake has she was coming down steps & walking.  Not sure what that is about.

Summer, 2011

This is not all that is going on with Ashleigh.  Something else is going on.  We had 2 calls from her teachers- Friday, October 28 & Monday, October 31.  Not like Ashleigh to get into trouble with her teacher.  A week or so ago, Ashleigh was getting teased by 2 girls on our street.  Not sure if this has anything to do with the school items.
