What does your datebook look like?

Planners. Datebooks.  Never the way I like them. I guess you can say I am very very picky about my datebook.  It is the heart of our appointments.

Since I took this picture, I have added 5 more appointments!! (This is August.  I don't have a picture of October yet).

I have 3 areas in my home that is important for our appointments.

I have a central communication hub in our home. It consists of our dry erase calendar board, the dry erase board that has notes, to do, & weekly.  I also have a blue blank dry erase board.  I also have a cork board, too!  We have our appointments on this dry erase board monthly calendar.  On the cork board, I have papers from school like phone numbers for teachers, etc.  I use my datebook to write down the appointments on the dry erase board monthly calendar.  Without my datebook, I would be lost (I back it up with Cozi).

I started using this dry erase board. I put anything that I need to remember.  Like Noah has 4 days for certain things he needs to do for Anti-bullying.  I also write down when the kids want to buy lunches.  Ash has swimming every Monday with her class.  That is a must remember!  I forgot once.  I don't want to do that again.  I did take her swimsuit & towel.

I also have my chalkboard for our weekly appointments.  I plan to do more here once I am done reading the book "Positive Discipline for Children with Special Needs: Raising and Teaching All Children to Become Resilient, Responsible, and Respectful
by I read this through our local library, but we are buying it.  It is going to be that helpful.  We were thinking of getting it for my Nook, but we want a hard copy.  I am waiting until I can get some Christmas gifts, too, from Amazon.

I don't use the weekly pages in my datebook so it is a waste to me.  I only use the monthly calendar in my datebook, but I want something on it.  Color.  Pictures.  I can never find anything I like. I started to look for next year's datebook.  I need something from Jan-Dec 2012.  I only found ones that started in July 2011-July 2012.  Well, I don't need the months from this year.  That would be a waste of money & paper.   The datebook I have is from July 2010-Dec 2011.  What happen to those 18 months datebooks?  Are they going cheap here because of the economy?  They want us to buy more.

I used my cutter thing to cut my datebook down a little bit in size.

Here is the front page before being taken to Staples for binding:

After I went to Staples for binding:

The Datebook I made has Jan 2012- Jan 2014 in it.  Not bad for the cost of paper, ink, & $4.23 to bind it at Staples.  I love it.  I have photos of the kids. I have a few with the note page.  It is colorful.
