Organization! Part 1

Photobucket
How are you organized?

I am not!  I think I am, but I am not!  I missed 2 meeting in the beginning of the month.  Opps!  It is no big deal I found out.  I think my problem is not being used to being here just yet.  I need to be ORGANIZED!!  But, how?  That is the question!  Too much stuff to remember.  Now I have the chalkboards I think I will get better!

Ash has her therapists in the house: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays. These days will change once May comes.  It will be no Saturdays.  Sometimes Ashleigh has camp on Saturdays so her therapist is there with her instead of at home.  I need to remember what Ash needs for camp.  Add in her homework.  Baths nights.  Reminding her to do several different things over & over & over again.

Then, there is Noah.  Noah has a spelling contract each week.  He gets it on Monday & it is due Friday.  This spelling contract tell him that he has to choose 2 of the list & have them done.  He can turn them in before Friday.  His spelling test is on Friday.  He has certain homework on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays I think.  Like math, grammar, & phonics.  Noah has this binder called the W.O.W. binder.  W.O.W. stands for We Organized Work.  I could not remember so I did a search with these words "W.O.W binder organized" & got this site.  Click here.  I was surprised to see this.  I will give more details when I look at Noah's information paper on it.  It looks like that paper from this site with the 2 columns.  This binder is to help the kids learn to be better organized.  I sure hope it helps Noah because this kid needs it big time.  It is a great idea!!  Also in this binder is the weekly schedule.  Everything the kids & parents needs to know.  No child can say "No Mom, I have no homework!" because it is right there in black & white.  =)  Love this!  I did find out that not all teachers use this W.O.W. Binder at his school.

Ways for me to get more organized:
1. Use the chalkboards  (I am!)

2. Unpack ALL boxes in the dining room!
(Since I started this, I have decreased my boxes.  I still have some, but not as many.  Progress!)

3. Something has to be done with the coats, backpack, etc area.  Time to build the first one in my blog post (Picture is below), but we will have it a little different.  Longer in length & no shelve on the bottom & no little cubbies.  I want our shoe mat to fit under it since I don't have any other place for it.  I don't want those small cubbies holes in ours.  I told Shawn I will take this one, but draw it without the cubbies & the bottom shelve.  Then, he can add the measurements!

4.  All items in the main floor hallway gotta go.
*I have a box to go to Ashleigh's horse camp for crafts (old cds).
*2 boxes to go to my old neighbor for his grandson
*4 of books for the library by our old place (they are small)
*a box for my friend, who has been helping me
*a few boxes of movies we don't want  (Goodwill)
*2 boxes of cups, dishes, etc we don't have room   (Goodwill)
*2 boxes of clothes  (Goodwill)
*2 boxes of stuffed animals  (Goodwill)
*1 box of miscellaneous items to get rid of.  (Goodwill)

5.  Finish Ashleigh's room.
(Since I started Ashleigh's room & saved it, I have finished it!!)
6. Unpack all boxes in the boys' rooms.
(Since I started the unpacking in the boys' room & saved it, I have finished it!!)
6. Get rid of the 2 1 boxes on the boys' floor.
(This is items that does not belong on this floor.)
7. Basement boxes
(My friend & I worked on this.  We wanted the backroom to be cleaned out.  I did leave 4 boxes in that room, but that was because either of us could lift them.  We moved the rest of them into the basement.  I have Zeus' crate in that backroom & he has been escaping.  I will post about the problems we are having with Zeus & this happened before getting the puppy, Bolt.)

Any suggestions, please let me know.  I think my biggest issue is the boxes.  I don't have as many as before.  My friend & I have done a lot.  I have 3 in the dining room.  Not bad!  3 in my bedroom, but those need to come to the dining room & I am not going to bring them down just yet.  1 on the boys floor (in their hallway) that needs to come down to the dining room, which would made 4 there.  0 in the kids room.  The basement I think I have about 15.

I hope this Valentine's Day was a good one!  I helped with Noah's Valentine's Day party.  It was fun!!  I need to go.  NCIS is on!!
