I can not get the boxes out of the hallway, my room, & the upstairs hallway because the van broke down again!!
A week ago Friday the van was towed to this shop where on this Monday the mechanic replaced the Steering Rack & pinion. I got it back Tuesday at 3p. I only drove it Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. Yesterday, I lost my power steering. I knew exactly what happened. The same part had to be replaced. I think I put 40 miles on the van.
Well, it is the same thing AGAIN! I got 2 different second opinions from 2 other mechanics. I wanted to get educated on this.
1. Does this happen often? No it does not.
2. How long does it take to replace this? 4-5 hours. This mechanic took 2 days. Yes, you read that correctly.
3. If you drive it, the pump can go. This mechanic & his other mechanics did not tell me this!!
4. The one mechanic told me it is the same thing.
5. They both said you keep making him fix it until he gets it right!
On Monday morning, we will have it towed again to this mechanic for him to redo this work. It better for done properly. I do not like this mechanic at all. This was our first time using this mechanic last Friday & I had issues with him. He would not allow me to ok the work on my own van. Yes, it is in my van. He said it was a man's job. Meaning because I am a woman I can not do it. I had to get permission from my husband to get the work done on it. I have choice words I love to say about him, but I won't. He did say something about my son, too, about him feeling sorry for me. I am disabled. This man has no heart. He needs to think before he speaks. First, he discriminated against me because I am a woman. Then, he had to say that about my son & my disability. I am done with this.
Too bad it was not raining today. I would take the kids outside & the dogs. I did get to do my errands Friday before this all happened. I got Zeus a tie out thing so he can sit outside with us. For Bolt, I will just use this leash right now. Then, I will get the same one as Zeus.
