We have always wanted a garden. At our old home, we couldn't. Not because we did not want one, but because the soil was not good for growing. It was mostly clay. We planted only pumpkins. Out of all the years we planted our pumpkin seeds I think we only got 1-2 pumpkins. Not a good rate!
This year we planted our seeds for our garden. The kids helped me plant the seeds. Shawn & the kids will plant them once the plants are bigger. We have been doing this every year since Ashleigh was about 3. We did miss a couple years here or there because of my back surgery or because I just could not do it.
We used whatever we could use. Like Juicy Juice containers, Hawaiian Punch, and several pots I had.

We just did this about a month ago & we got a few of the containers growing. Yea!! Way to go Kids!! I am not sure what it is since we did not write down what it is. Next year we will. Since it got cold out, most of what we planted died, so I had to start over. It is ok. I planted tomatoes, parsley, & lettuce so far. The parsley & lettuce are in these planters that will be on the deck once they start growing. Shawn wants to plant the corn outside. It did not do well inside. I still need to plant watermelon, pumpkins. I need to go buy some strawberry plants.
I hope our seeds grow the second time & not die!
