Do you have a favorite author? I do. My favorite author is Susan Mallory. I want to share something with all of you. A favorite part of one of her books. It has helped my friends & I look at the positive things in our lives & I want to share it with you all. Back when I read the book, "Falling for Gracie", by Susan Mallery, I love how Gracie used Good News, Better News, & Bad news to describe things in her life. (e-book page 132)
Good News- She completed all the dots & roses.
Better News- The kiss was FABULOUS.
Bad news-She was tired.
Several of my friends & I run a support group for endometriosis, IC, chronic pain, and more. We don't just have a couple diseases in our support group, but we have many. We love helping others in pain, having them think about the positives in their life, & talking about other things in our life.
When I saw this in this book, I told the girls about it. They love it. Since mid-March, we have been using it as a way to focus on the positives in our life. Instead of the negative. We do this weekly. When you live every day in pain, it helps to focus what it is important like helped out a single dad & his 2 kids who lost everything in a fire, migraine is gone, seeing a play, it's almost Friday, it's the weekend. There is a lot more than these, but these ones are the ones I thought I could share.
My Goods News, Better News, Bad News for this week is:
Good News: Ethan & I had a great time out today eating ice cream (shh! don't tell the other 2 kids)
Better News: My mom, dad, brother, & brother in law are coming tomorrow to Monday. The kids & I can not wait to see them all.
Bad News: I have been having headaches on & off since Wednesday due to Pollen. I parked under a tree & the pollen dust was all over my van Thursday morning.
I want to thank Susan for putting this in her book.
My review for "Falling for Gracie" can be found Here.
Melissa
