I had planned to show before and after photos on how I have changed my bullet journal since starting, but I am going to do something else on this post. I am working on my September weekly pages. I am looking for a layout that I think will work for me. To see what works for me, I am going to list what I have learned from journaling since March.
1. Having a tracker for chores does not work for me. I have to see what I need to do every day. It needs to be in a list form.
2. A monthly calendar works for me, but not the list of dates for the month. I like to see what I have week by week.
3. I added Blog Ideas into my journal, but never used it. I track my ideas of what posts I want to do in here by saving it. I had that in July so in August it is no more.
4. In July, I started a small box to remind myself of what tv shows or movies I want to watch. This is going to stay. I forget what I want to watch.
5. I worked ahead and skipped pages and did the monthly calendars up to and including October. Now I am thinking maybe I should of skipped more pages.
6. I am creative, but I feel like my bullet journal could be more creative. In the coming months, I want to see more creativity.
7. I am working on adding more collections to my bujo. After I get November pages done, I want a page or 2 on planning Thanksgiving dinner. I want to add pages for Christmas. Gift ideas for the kids and Cards to send out list. I am thinking after the Thanksgiving pages. I also want to have a page or 2 on planning Christmas dinner.
8. My habits were on the weekly pages and I am moving them to my monthly calendar page because I won't have the room for them.
9. I want to add menu planning and a shopping list in with my weeklies, but right now I am not sure if I skipped enough pages. Grr!
10. My layouts for my weeklies have changed, but I am still looking for that layout that has it all for me. My plan is to design my own with inspirations from others (I want to highlight them in a separate post).
11. In my weeklies, I need to add my appointments first (not down the column) because it gets crowded with my to do list.
12. I have been thinking of going Monday to Sunday, but I am not sure if I can. I love the idea of having Saturday and Sunday being highlighted with the word weekend, but how to do it since I have been doing Sunday to Saturday since March?
13. I am adding a box in my weekly for soccer if my son, Noah, makes the team. Tryouts are August 22. I need to track games and practices and locations!
I think that is it. It helped me get all of that out. Maybe now I can find those layouts for September.
