Getting Organized

Every summer in July, I start organizing our house before school starts.

I am redoing how our incoming mail is dealt with.  Shawn put up this mail box type thing behind our door.  I have all the mail in there, but I want to do more.  I am going to add a cork board there and pin up the bills we need to pay each month.

I added a dry erase board in Ashleigh's room to keep her morning routine on it.  I brought another dry erase board for Ashleigh for her before bed routine and her after school routine.  I decided that I need something like this for the boys and I found the perfect spot.  Second floor I have a wall where I can fit 4 dry erase boards and a cork board.  The cork board I used down in the dining room so I moved it up here (second floor).  I have no walls like this on the first floor.  I will be doing the same with the dry erase boards for the boys as Ashleigh.  Plus Ashleigh has a chalkboard that her therapist and I give her homework to do before she comes back.  We are doing a chalkboard for this for Noah, too.  Noah's corkboard won't stay up on the wall so I moved it in my room and it has not fallen down at all!  I think the walls where I had it are not even.

In my office area, I added a weekly dry erase board to keep all of our appointments for the week and anything else I need to remember.  The wall in front of my desk is missing something.  Not sure what.  I want to move the cork boards around, but until I know what I want they stay.

I am finishing up my Bullet Journal pages for August.  I have the month calendar all done.  The weekly pages are almost done, but I need to add a few things.  I want to menu plan with a shopping list per week, but not sure if it should be in the same page as my weekly or in a separate page.

I have started buying items for the kids for school.  Ethan has his new backpack and lunch bag.  The lunch bag will be used for a few years.  Noah picked out a weekly dry erase board for his locker so he can keep track of all of his homework he has to do.

Are you organized? Have you started your back to school shopping?
Melissa
