I have been working on a cleaning schedule. Plus a chores list for each of the kids. The kids' rooms are broken down into zones so they can keep it clean plus Ashleigh is not so overwhelmed with cleaning.
These are screen shots so bare with me!
This chart is for me and Shawn. I am going to add items, but right now I am not sure what. Our trash day is Tuesday so our refrigerator gets cleaned out Monday nights.
I just noticed that I did not put on this chart the boys bath nights. Noah is Monday nights & Ethan is Tuesday nights. If they need more than 1 bath a week, then it is at the end of the week. Summer times they get 2 a week. I am still working on this one.

I saw this on a blog, which I can not remember now. Each of our rooms need to be cleaned really well so this will help me stay organize.
Ashleigh's chore chart is different than her brothers. She has to feed the cats and Zeus. I added that she will vacuum her room on Sundays. Each day Ash needs to pick up papers on the floor since it is a HUGE problem for her.
Noah is responsible for his dog, Bolt. A problem area for the boys is their stairs to their room. It is a clutter zone with toys that was to be taken up to their rooms, but never made it.
Ethan is going to learn about a chore chart. His problem areas are clothes not in hamper and the stairs to the boys room. I think the majority of toys on the stairs are his!
I tired drawing their rooms in PSP10, but this is not the actual way it looks like. It is not a perfect square, but you can see how I divide their rooms up into zones. The bookcases in the kids rooms are not a typical bookcase, but a 9 cubicle bookcase for Ashleigh & Ethan's room and a 6 cubicle bookcase for Noah's room. They hold mainly toys in Ethan's room plus some books. Ashleigh & Noah's holds books. Ashleigh's needs to be put together.
I break down the room into 4 zones.
Zone 1- Sunday, Thursday
Zone 2- Monday, Friday
Zone 3- Tuesday, Saturday
Zone 4- Wednesday

In Ethan's room, I wanted to do 3 zones, but I wanted each of the kids to have the same zone days so I could tell them that today is zone 3 day. Ethan's zone 4 is behind the door, which is where his heater is. The rooms up on the third floor does not have heat so we have heaters up there for the boys. In zone 3 of Ethan's room, he has these square ottomans that he keeps toys in. He has 2 of them.
I also want to list what we need to do in the spring and fall. Like the fall, all items outside would be put away.
Do you have cleaning charts? Chores for the kids? I would love to see them. Leave a comment with your link or tell me how you clean!
