What do I want for Christmas?
I don't want a thing for Christmas- meaning something I can hold in my hand. Each year kids or adults may want some/a lot of items I know with my kids their list was long especially Ethan's. Ethan would see a commercial and say "I want that" or see an ad and once again I would get that phrase. I saw somewhere online where a Family decided to do only 3 kids because of the Wise Men to Jesus. The 3 gifts that the Wise Men gave Jesus were Gold, Frankincense, and myrrh. I did a search and I found where I saw it. Click HERE. I brought it up to Shawn, but I am not sure if he wants to do it. I was thinking for next Christmas to do the following:
1. Christmas Eve gift (pjs)
2. Movie gift
3. Game gift
4. 3 gifts like the 3 Wise Men did.
For a total of 6 gifts. Half of what they got today. I am not including my parents or Shawn's mom's items.
This year I wanted to get the kids something that would not be used and thrown in a corner. I was thinking "How would this item last for more than 6 months?" I decided that clothes were on the top of my list. Each of our kids needed clothes. Ashleigh has grown out of her clothes. She needed all new clothes. Ethan gets all of Noah's old clothes and I like to add some that is truly his. Brand new!

What I want is:
*Well behaved healthy kids.
*Life to be a little on the easy side not just for me, but for my husband and children.
*I want more laughter and less sadness.

What does Christmas mean to you?
To me, it is about family. Love. Spending quality time together. Watching movies. Making crafts. Doing things together. Taking the time to rest over Christmas break. Slowing down. During the school year, it is always something, but with Christmas break, we get time to catch up around the house.
I love how The Polar Express says what Christmas means.
Just remember, the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart.
Merry Christmas!!
