Virginia Beach

In August, 2 friends and I took our kids to Virginia Beach.  We had a blast.  I loved watching the kids see the ocean for the first time (Ashleigh & Noah has seen it before.  My friend's kids did not see the ocean until now.  Ethan was at the beach when he was 9 months old, but he was too small to remember!

The kids loved the beach, the waves, & everything about the ocean, but Ashleigh was having some issues with the noise of the waves.  Next time I will take headphones.

The day we got to Virginia Beach we went straight to the ocean!  They took vehicles over the sand to make it smooth.

We decided on our last day to go see the sun rise.  It was so beautiful.  I love the colors in this photo.

Thanks to our friend, Greg, that came with us Ashleigh was playing in the sand.  I tried everything to get her close to the water, but she would not.  Greg helped her feel calm.

Have you been to the ocean lately?  We can not wait to go back.  Ethan had a love-hate relationship with the ocean.  When we got to the ocean the first time, he loved it.  When we went back in our swimsuits, he loved it.  When the waves got bigger and louder, Ethan hated it.  This time Noah loved the ocean.  The last time in 2009 Noah hated the ocean, but Ashleigh loved it.
