I so want a mudroom. I know I am not the only that wants one. I want to make a small one. I can only have it so long because of the heater vent on the floor. I want one where the kids can hang their coats & their book bags instead of on the couch. Organization is important to me!
I want this area to have baskets so I can keep all winter hats, scarves, & gloves. I also want to put all shoes under this unit, too.
Something like this, but I don't want the bottom to be like that. I want it to be open so I can have our shoe mat to be in there on the bottom. Does that make sense? I don't have the room to have this plus the shoe mat, too.

Now if I could talk Shawn into building this for me. He does not want to build it. I don't see why not. He explains that what we have is not big enough.
This is another idea, but I would not have my baskets on top.
