Day 10: Remembering

I had something else I wanted to write about today, but realized that this was more important.  A year ago today my family lost my grandmother.  She was 100 years old.  Yes, she lead a full life with her kids, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I wanted to share some photos.

This was an important time.  We were at my grandma's 100th birthday party.  That was August 26, 2013.  She passed away October 10, 2013. She outlived our grandfather.  We knew my grandma was not going to make it long.  We arrived at the nursing home starting on October 6 to visit every day.

It was a blessing to have for that many years.  I remember the days where we were in her garden picking cherry tomatoes or green beans.  The scent of either sends me back to those times.  I remember the times when I spent in my grandparents barn.
