Day 23: Neighborhood Kids

Welcome to Day 23!!

I can not believe we are almost done with this year's 31 days.  This month has gone by fast.  

Last night Noah's one friend showed up here with his brother, and 2 other kids.  The 2 other kids I do not know.  I have seen the one walking home, but I don't know anything about the kid.  The other kid I am clueless on.  Noah sent them away since his MT was here.  MT is mobile therapist with his wrap around service Noah receives.  

Today, Noah's one friend shows up.  Noah goes outside.  I just had Noah come in since it is dark outside.  We have the rule "when the lights come on, you come in".  When I called him in, it was not only 1 kid, but a total of 4 kids.  I am thinking they only sent one down to get him (19 steps to get to the front porch's steps) and the others came down some time later.  

I talked with Noah that I do not want our house being "the hang out."  Ashleigh can not handle that noise that 4 kids + my 2 boys make.  It is always here.  It has been for months.  In our old neighborhood, the kids rotated with all their houses.  I liked that.  We did not always have the kids here.  

What do you do when the neighborhood kids come knocking?  Do you give them all drinks?
