Today I really don't want to talk about special needs parenting, but every day items. Today's post will be short.
What is your favorite time of the day?
I love walking Ethan home from his bus stop. We have a routine. He knows what questions I am going to ask him. Like
“Who did you sit with at lunch today?”
This question I ask more than just who they sat with at lunch. I want to know:
Who sat in front of you?
Who was to your left? To your right?
Who was across from the child on your left? your right?
Ethan normally eats with the same 3 kids, but I like to see if the ones around the 4 of them are the same or different.
I started asking
"Anything exciting happen?"
"Anything sad?"
"Anything funny?"
With Ashleigh, when I asked about her day when she was younger, I would get the phrase "I just sat there!" The boys I learned to ask more specific questions.
Today I need to ask more of these questions to Ashleigh and Noah.
